The exhibition ‘Masquerade’ is a collection of photographs from the time of the Venice Carnival, just before the last pandemic.
Seeking to balance the diversity of previous photographic projects, and perhaps to express a true identity, I present a modest set, this time of colour photographs.
Carnival in Venice is a vestige of history seeping into the present – this tradition is almost a thousand years old, and the beautiful, often expensive and handed down from generation to generation, costumes and masks still fill the Venetian streets every year.
