The binding fulfils all the conditions of aesthetics and protects and secures the photograph from the destructive influence of the environment.
For framing I use hand-made passe-partout made of acid-free cardboard with a thickness of 1.4÷3.5mm and very high density in any colour and texture according to the pattern book. Wooden frames made of exotic wood protected by varnish, wax, oil with a guarantee of maintaining no contact with the photograph. Back of the frame – acid-free cardboard. Museum glass with anti-reflective and UV coatings. Completely transparent, glare-free, safe for the framed work. Also uses smooth-surfaced ‘Anti-reflex’ glass for standard frames.
The passe-partout binding meets the requirements for collector and museum photography of acid-free cellulose with alkaline buffer as well as 100% cotton types: Alpha Essentials and Alphamat Altacare Tatami Silks or Alpharag Artcare; 100% dye, alkaline PH, gr.1.5 or 3.2mm. Cartons have P.A.T. test; Photographic Activity Test (ANSI iT9.16/ISO14523)
Museum glass UV filter 90%, light reflection 1%, light transmission 98%, anti-reflective or plain 2mm thick.
The box or passe-partout frame system guarantees no contact with the glass. The back of the image as well as other elements and components for the frame meet the requirements of collector and museum photography.
